The Gun Launched Observation Vehicle(GLOV™) and Mortar Launched Observation Vehicle(MLOV)  are small planes that carry sensors for surveillance. Data is sent back from the flight in real time. The GLOV has been tested numerous times with the rigid prototype seen in these pictures. The final  GLOV will be made of materials that will allow the plane to be folded up into  a cylinder for gun launch.  

The MLOV is a similar class platform within existing mortar shapes.
