Ceramic Engineer
Experience in piezoelectric is desired.
Must be capable of handling complex engineering assignments with
little supervision or guidance. Performs engineering work and applied
research, development, design and test of new products. Must have
excellent analytical and numerical skills, verbal communication
and writing skills. The ability and willingness to work on highly
technical projects is required. Duties will also include preparation
of proposals and report writing. Part or full time work is available.
Advanced engineering degree or BS degree plus equivalent work experience
is desired.
Scientific
Programmer/System Analyst
Experienced with C and C++ under
Linux (Windows/Visual Studio experience a plus). Strong Linux operating
system skills required. Will develop scientific applications
including software that communicates with external hardware (via
serial ports, networking, etc.) Working knowledge of mathematics,
controls, AI are pluses. Bachelors degree in computer science or
closely related field required. May be expected to help bring Windows
developers up to speed on Linux development. Part or full time work
is available.
AAC is always looking for the following:
Aeronautical Engineer
Aeronautical Engineer Design, Aerodynamics,
Stability and Control - M.S. in engineering or equivalent
experience. Applicant must have excellent analytical and numerical
skills; excellent verbal and written skills, as well as the ability
and willingness to work concurrently on several highly technical
projects. Knowledge of air breathing flight vehicle design,
hypersonics and aerodynamics, propulsion flowpath vehicle
integration, aircraft loads, weights, and flight vehicle systems
integration is desired. The candidate should have experience with
CAD systems and basic programming skills. Duties shall include
some of the following: aircraft/subsystem design and analysis,
estimating aircraft aerodynamic performance and aircraft handling
qualities, evaluating aerodynamic wind tunnel and flight test data,
assessing propulsion performance, assisting in assessing/designing
mission plans, assisting in evaluation of structural design,
and writing technical memos and reports to document findings/
recommendations.
Electronic Design
Engineering Manager
Responsible for directing multiple projects of electronic engineers. Recognized as an electronics engineering authority. Applies advanced concepts, theories, and principles to solve complex engineering problems. Will determine course of action to pursue long range goals. Will oversee laboratory and field tests of electronic equipment and systems. Will establish procedures for evaluating equipment performance, and recommend improvements for new and existing products. Will track progress of different ongoing projects to insure timely completion and provide finished device approval. May act in lead capacity/mentor and provide leadership to junior level employees. Exceptional math skills are essential. Bachelor and Masters degree in engineering or closely related field required with at least 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.
Senior Avionics Engineer
Responsible for performing engineering
work, defining requirements, procurement and/or design, build and
testing of instrumentation systems for unmanned craft. May
be responsible for some project engineering and new business
pursuit. Familiarity with artificial intelligence and controls
would be beneficial for the candidate. If interested, there
is a growth path into engineering management available.
Image Processing Engineer (BS, MS, or Ph.D.)
Experience in 1-D and 2-D signal
image processing is required. Responsible for development
of image processing algorithms and processing architectures for
software and hardware implementations. Experience with image compression
by wavelet techniques, including the elimination of artifacts, is
required. Experience with optical character recognition techniques
and knowledge of public key encryption methods is also required.
Candidate will be able to optimize image processing systems
for different lens, sensor, and processing algorithms. Familiarity
with state of the art image enhancement and recovery as well as
techniques for extension of depth-of-field is expected.
Avionics System Engineer
(BS/MS EE or ME).
Avionics system engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience. Familiar with key specifications and requirements for avionics systems and equipment for both military and commercial customers. Experience with requirements and process for flight qualification of equipment and systems.
Avionics Technician
Experienced technician to install and troubleshoot avionics equipment on a variety of military and commercial aircraft. Should be thoroughly familiar with common avionics quality and workmanship standards. Experience with fiber optics required. Must have or be able to obtain a FAA A&P license. FCC license desirable. Minimum of 5 years experience.
Plasma Scientist/Engineer (MS or Ph.D.)
We are looking for someone to help
us develop plasma-based devices for aerodynamic flow control.
Experience in MHD and/or ultra-fast plasma switching is desired.
Experience with plasma diagnostics such as emission spectroscopy
or microwave interferometry is a bonus. A Ph.D. degree in a
science/engineering curriculum or MS with 4 years experimental and/or
product development experience is preferred.
